About Me
I was born in Dundee, but grew up in the Scottish Highlands.
I originally worked in watercolours, but began my first textile piece as an exercise in making my work less precise. I enjoyed it so much I haven't looked back, and have been creating pictures in textiles ever since.
I source my materials from many and varied places, and prefer using reclaimed fabric as I feel this adds depth and texture to my work. My pieces are generally of the picturesque fishing villages along the coast of Scotland as their quirky nature lends itself beautifully to the medium.
